updates available for unlocked G1?

I just read a post that some user with an unlocked G1 on the ATT network was getting prompted for updates on his phone. So i would say yes, you would still get updates.

But if you dont, you can always install updates manually yourself. Its really not that hard.

Yes you will still receive the updates. They are sent out by Google not T-mobile.
