Okay. My G1 is on the way. im hoping it is perfect. its an unlocked one imported (to England) from America.
Unlocked With Warranty. How do i stand if something goes wrong, return it to T-mobile and pay for the other one to be unlocked? or see if they will give me a code for it?

Couple of Qs for you:
- where did you buy your G1 from?
- what kind of warranty was advertised with the listing of the G1?
Most likely you will need to go through manufacturer there - HTC in this case. I do not think T-Mobile at UK will warranty your G1 which was bought in US. The reason is simple: IMEI # will not match to their records.
I wish you luck!

Not that this is an ideal solution by any means, but if you know someone who has a contract with T-Mobile and is in good standing, you can have them get you an unlock code. T-Mobile will give an unlock code to any customer (one code every 90 days). I have already received three codes for friends. Other than that you'd have to contact HTC and ask them for a code.

pretty much exactly what i wanted to input... i'm 99 percent sure uk t-mobile will not warranty your device, and definitely not US t-mobile...
as for a warranty through your buyer, unless they listed it specifically then you're out of luck...
