I just came home and the case came in. Shipping was fast, it shipped on the 6th and came today, the 8th. The person ships from CA if you're wandering.

The case is nice. It's my first time using a leather case for phones and first time reviewing accessories.

Ebay link that I won.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=190264096457

Ebay search listings.

It comes in black or pink. So not much of a choice if you're a guy.

It is a Kroo case and it feels like good quality. I've used a silicone case from them before for my sansa, no problems. I should go to Best Buy and compare it to the universal HTC case, but I'm busy. Anyways, the G1 fits just right. It's not too loose and not too tight. You can pull it out easily by pushing up from the bottom middle opening and then just take it out. There is a snap in the back, for using it with a belt. There is a picture of it in the listing I posted. It's not metal, and even if it is, it doesn't mess up the compass.

Overall, I like it so far. I'm going to give it a real test tomorrow.

It comes with a screen protector by Luximo. I'm not using it for now anyways since I ordered a invisible shield, so no review of that. The total with shipping came out to $10.94.

This was the only velcro case that I found for a good price and I have no problems taking the phone out. You just have to know how.

I hope it works now.

I feel the cardboard inside, which I'm assuming it's normal. The leather doesn't feel cheap, but I got it for $10, so yeah. I would need to compare this to the case at Best Buy to give you a confident answer.

Screw flickr, I made it publicly available, but whatever. Everyone should be able to see the pictures now, if not, then I'm out of ideas.

I can see pictures now yay!!!!! lol anyways...Looks Great!!! Just wondering though have you had any problems with the case so far? Like it not clipping to your belt and falling off..or are you getting marks on your g1 from the case? Also does it fit if you had the g1's screen facing inwards..in other words lets say if you had the case on your belt. Would the g1 fit if the screen is facing you? Do you think a g1 with a skin on it like Invisible Shield or BodyGuardz fit in it still?

Any problems with the case at all???....

Edit: Also is there a soft material on the inside of the case? If so..is it on all of the inside of the case?

Luckily I still had the original screen protector when my screen, near bottom left, had a smudge. This happened couple of times after I cleaned it and then put it back it. The smudge would be something like a sticker residue per say. It was easy to clean up. But this depended on which side the screen was on and I forgot since it only happened this past Sunday.

The G1 fits either way, screen towards/away from me.

I got IS's screen protector yesterday, so if it's the same thickness, I think it'll fit. But I wouldn't know if it'll be easy to take out since the material is a bit tacky, I guess that's the right word to use.

Let us know what you think of the case when you get it. Thinking about getting this one.

Just got mine in the mail today. Overall I'm impressed with the quality and feel, its a bit stiff due to the leather being new, and also its a bit on the big side for a hip case, its also a pretty decently tight fit, you'll need to push the G1 straight up from the bottom hole to get the phone out smoothly, but overall a lot better than others on the market I believe, on to the pics.

Note: just took a look at the screen protector, its generic and cut in the wrong shape, one end is straight and the other is rounded, looked like someone cut it out of a giant sheet. Anyhow should only be used as a last resort IMO. I have a bestskinever shield and a 3.5mm usb adapter on the way so I'll post a review of those as well later.

It loosens up after using it for awhile. I don't have to push it up from the bottom anymore. Just use my thumb and index finger and pull it up by grabbing the back and the front sides. Although, I'm a bit afraid that the velcro might get warned out, but I hope I get to use it enough for it's worth.
