Just got OTA update to RC30

Got the message update available. It ran rather quickly.
Now has version: kila-user 1.0 TC4-RC30 116143 ota-rek-keys, release-keys.. Whatever the heck that means. :rolleyes:
I know this is supposed to plug the hole for jailbreaking the G1.
I can just hope they put in a few fixes too, perhaps the reoccuring no sync of email accounts, or the missed call issue.

I got it yesterday. I clicked 'Update later' but every time I unlock my phone I keep getting the message. I might just cave in...

For all on RC19. You could manually update. It couldn't be easier. Download file. Rename to update.zip. Copy to root of sd card. Turn phone off. Restart holding home and power. At Exclamation screen press Alt L. Press ALT S to update from card. Then follow directions.

Get a new microSD card, that should fix it. The stock one has problems with manually updating, probably because it is a cheap ass 1gb card.

yep... it seems most sandisk cards will work fine whether formatted in fat or fat32... quick formatting doesn't hurt it either...

for people that don't know how to format:

1. plug the phone via usb cable to your computer

2. open up my computer

3. right click on your removable disk drive that pops up for the phone

4. go to format and either choose fat or fat32

5. leave the allocation size to default for the memory card

Nope...nothing changed but only their security hole i mean root access.Nothing special in RC30 dat amazed me...

yea i wish RC30 fixed these issues:

- fixed the backlight issue
- IM app issue of signing out automatically
- Storing apps on SD card
- Reducing size of memory used to storage of internal memory

the list literally goes on.

well just did the update manually RC30, still no fix for the pop3 notification issue, and i still get connection errors from time to time. This is really annoyin.

I got the update 2day around 430 pm but instead of mine saying RC30 it says RC 33. Anybody else notice that??

First off...Welcome to AC!

Wow Sonny...while we really appreciate you obviously using the search button, when you post to a thread...it may help to look at the date of the last post.

RC30 started coming out in early november 2008
RC33 started coming out late last week

If you just got the RC33 update you are doing good...next do a search on "rooting made easy" and join the rest of us on our quest for world domination!
