Rc30 update and battery

I swear ever since i did the updae to rc30 my battery has gotten better. befor i updated it was orange and showed 21% left after update it was back up to 53% and was green again. i guess when i do a full recharge we will see, anyone else notice this ?

its main purpose is to stop access to the root directory. If it does mroe great but that was its main purpose

it also seems to have fixed some problems with playing videos with orb via the web interface, 2 of us so far have experienced this

Does it play streaming music via Orb now? Before, it tried to view the stream as a video and wouldn't play.

yea it does play videos better. i can watch all my full length movies easily! the divx vids on my comp look super clear on the phone. ORB rocks.

music via ORB? yes. photos, webcam from your pc, videos, and music. all works perfect.

I got ma update just now.dat is RC30.And funny thing is that mine case is totally inverse from u xxfirerican..Mine was Green after the update it became Orange...lol...Though i m okay with the battery life.But who don wanna better thing,,,,

I've also just got the update. I also noticed my battery life inscease after the update. I dont really understand what that was all about but i will find out. Also as far as Orb goes, would one of you beable to provide a guide on how to setup your G1 to Orb? I've tryed setting it up when I had my T-Mobile dash and I couldn't quite figure it out. Thanks.

A little thing I noticed with the RC30 update: When sending a text message and you didnt have coverage at the time, you used to get your 'notification' alert (text message ringtone) saying the text message couldn't get sent. Now with RC30, when you send a text and you don't have coverage, there is no notification alert given (thank god), and it just gives a pop-up saying you have no service and will keep resending.

I have yet to receive the RC30 update, but I have reported an approximate runtime of 36 hours on a single charge on another thread
