Firstly I apologize if this post is in the wrong section, I am new here and figured this would be the best place to start.
Today I picked up my new Samsung Galaxy S Plus, this is the first Andriod phone I have ever owned so am excited to finally be part of the community.
I basically want to purge my new phone all all the pre-installed bloat-ware so that I have maximum control over my phone from the get go, I picked my phone up in China as that is where I live and it came installed with over 4GB worth of bloat including (but not limited too) 360 virus scanner (some chinese AV program), QQ Anti-Virus, 4 browsers, and something thats giving me constant notifications (right now I have 15 and only deleted that last 20 about an hour ago). I'm sure there is all manner of spy and malware on their as it seems the Chinese run their phones the same way they run their computer systems i.e. horribly.
I should have 16GB of storage and 2GB ROM, I only have 11ishGB and 1.2GB respectively.
Any advice on how to strip my Gingerbread system down to factory level (or what you would expect to be running out of the box) is greatly appreciated.
Thanks for your time
