My Motorola Milestone XT720 that was bought about 6 months ago has a very irritating problem occasionally: The MicroSd Card is corrupted. It happened again today when I was listening to music and suddenly it reboots automatically. After rebooting, the phone says that the Micro Sd Card is corrupted. It doesn't just happen this time, it happened lots of times last time randomly for no apparent reason (like after I connect it to the computer or after it automatically offs). Does anyone know what's the cause of this problem? How do I prevent this? The backing up of my files, reformatting and then transferring it back again takes up a heck of my time as my files are about 6 GB. My Micro Sd Card is 16 GB and I don't think it's the SD Card's fault. I think there is something wrong with the Android OS O.o. Any help would be appreciated.

what is your SD card's brand ? because usually when cards that show repeated corruption, it is the card to blame.
also Unstable phones can be a symptom of a bad SD card, or the battery pull and instability could cause the SD card to become corrupt. But again, usually the card is to blame, not the phone corrupting the card.
many SD cards have five years of warranty, you may think to change it and get a new one.
