I recently purchased an 8GB SD.

I downloaded a bunch of apps and hit the Low Space notice.

Can we just have apps store to the SD card or are we limited to internal phone storage?

Nope. Sorry. Not yet. Word is, there are developers working on that. In the meantime, you need to just keep the programs installed that you use the most.

Currently you cant download them to your sd, your stuck with having to use the on board space. However i did read that google said something about the reason it takes up so much space is it caches alot of info from the market place that you arent able to manually delete, but there working on changing that. Ive been on the phone with tmobile alot lately informing them about the problem. I know a few people on here found a work around, so you might wanna look at that, but i believe after buying a phone, paying monthly for service you shouldnt have to do a work around like that. So as of no, theres really no solid way of doing it, hopefully they fix it with a update....until then, i suggest you call tmobile and complain about the problem, The reps i talked to said no one is really calling in with this problem, so its not even a problem there really aware of....

I actually participated in an online interactive survey hosted by T-Mobile last night where they asked about all of our concerns. They are aware of the battery life issue and brought that up specifically. When asked about our concerns I mentioned the memory/storage issue and brought up the issue of not being able to save apps to the SD card.

T-Mobile is listening, now lets see if they do something!

Here is the thread concerning the survey if anyone is interested: http://androidcommunity.com/forums/f21/t-mobile-g1-survey-6647/

TooDoo 4MB
Street View 3MB
PacMan 3MB
Parallel Kingdom 3MB
Weather Channel 2MB
Wertago 2MB
PocketMoney 2MB and rebranded FireWallet 2MB
