whenever i call CS for any issues with my G1, their answer is 'do hard reset', if doesn't work send back for new replacement............

what kind of responses you are getting from T-mobile Technical support???????

Thats what they do to me when i had issues with my Tmobile Dash. Believe it or not it makes sense to try that first and if that doesnt fix the issue then have them send you out a new one.

I got a replacement with no problem. Sometime you have to hang up and call back to get a different person. Once before I had an issue with my BB pearl and the tech I had got did no nothing maybe she was new. I just hung up and call back to get a different tech and everything worked out fine with my issue I had

Right now this is all they know about. They do not have any troubleshooting script as of yet. I have a friend who works for TMobile and she said there are not any troubleshooting steps as of yet. If it is not something the tech knows from using the phone then they make you do a hard reset, if that won't fix it they send you a replacement and hope it doesn't have the same problem.

I think TMobile should make this forum, or a similar one a default bookmark for all CSRs!

my new g1 will be here today...... it took me a week to get them to send me a new one after 3 master resets and talking to a ton of hard headed people

They told me the same but they are usually nice about it. They would ask me questions about what I recently did to my Dash. I only had a problem once with a Tmo CS about a bill issue.

my phone did not notify me of incoming text messages and the touch screen wasn't very responsive...I did a hard reset like T-Mobile told me to and it resolved nothing...I have my new phone in the mail coming sometime this week =)
