Did anyone participate in an online T-Mobile Survey tonight (8EST 5PST)? I received an email invite a week ago for this.
I was invited to participate in the survey and will have to say that I'm pretty impressed by T-Mobile to do this. They asked several questions relating to applications and why I ordered this phone.
Here are some highlights of the questions and topics of the survey:
Battery Life: They stated they have heard several complaints about it and wanted to know what they should do for customers. T-Mobile IS listening to our complaints!
Market: Simple questions regarding how many apps I have downloaded and how often I'll expect to check the market. Trying to judge how much money can be made?
Exchange/Outlook: Several questions were asked if I utilized this. Sounds like they have heard this complaint as well!
Features: They asked what features need to be improved on the phone. Hardware was on the list. They know it's not the prettiest of phones.
Overall, pretty good survey. It lasted almost an hour and we'll just have to see what they actually do with it.
Things that I mentioned as true "pains" and "suggestions":
Lack of Memory to save apps
Battery Life- It's a given right?

i got a survey in my email but when i clicked it, it took me to a page that said, "thanks for your interest but we have received enough surveys."
Though, the one i got wasnt from Tmo its self. I believe it was a 3rd party they hired.
edit: i also got the email within the first few days after launch.

I tried to take the survey but when i did i got an error saying:
That is all the questions we have for you today.
Unfortunatly your answers do not qualify you to participate in the
online interactive session on November 6th. However, there may be more
opportunities to participate in other research in the next few months.
Thank you for your participation.

That's what I got too after answering the questions on-line. But, it looks like they're listening to somebody. I really have no complaints with the phone except that I wish it were more car-friendly (Bluetooth voice dialing).

hi!
i took part in this survey tonight. a lot of it was canned survey stuff, "what do you like best about ________?'
but there were opportunities to express real concern about battery life, no app to sd installs, and os inconsistencies.
i actually made a 24 point list prior to going in and hit on most of them.

for those wondering... here was my list.
1. Better sorting options for contacts and market:
-do not auto add email addresses to contacts.
-sort contacts / groups by last name, business, search by number.
-Sort market by alphabet.
2. Option to turn off 'frequently called numbers' from auto adding to favorites. Starred only.
3. Ability to rearrange shortcuts within a desktop folder.
4. Ability to add section breaks to system tray.
5. Save / install apps to the sd card.
6. Battery life improvements through coding.
7. 3.5mm adapter / plug or A2DP support.
8. Java support for browser
9. Real IM support. Sms msging is misleading.
10. Google maps location pin ability (w/ pin sharing).
11. Select browser display pref for websites (full vs mobile)
12. Needs Advanced Widget support.
13. Auto check for cross-system app updates.
14. Quicker access to wifi / gps toggles.
15. Downloadable system updates.
16. Consistent long press, track ball functionality across the board. 3rd screen in market, trackball stops working.
17. Threaded call logs.
18. Sms blocking / report spam sms.
19. Save images from mms to sd card.
20. Movie player.
21. Exchange support.

I got to participate in the chat as well. I was pleased to see that they are at least interested in the user experience!

Nice to see that other people participated as well. Normally when I see these surveys come out they just go directly to my junk folder. However, this one I just had to participate in seeing that Maritz was handling it and that there is a stong possibility that my opinions and suggestions would be looked at.
I know from past experiences (work) that Maritz is not a cheap survey company. T-Mobile will/should actually do something with the information that was provided. They are not going to drop a pretty penny to do nothing with the information!

I rarely participate in those online surveys. It popped up when I logged into my Tmo account. I just closed the pop up.
