How do I know what my RC number is?

I have an HTC Dream / G1 Rogers edition.

it only supports up to firmware 1.5, but I found this site that says how to update it to 1.6 http://upgrade.android.32teeth.org/?step=0

I followed the step 1 and it says that the file is unsupported or not found (or something like that)

so I was wondering how I find out my RC and maybe don't even need to do that step..

my build is 1.89.631.1 146733 CL#94714 release-keys

Of I'm not mistaken, RC stands for Release Candidate for Cyanogen Mod ROMS. Cyanogen hasn't supported the G1 for a year.
If you go to XDAdevelopers.com ns search in the Dream G1 forums you should find tour answer.
