Hey guys, I've noticed a ton of people on here having issues with pages loading blank, data not working or intermittently dropping. Ever since last Thursday I've been having a problem where every 1-2 hours my data drops completely, phone and texts still work, but no market or web browsing, a soft reset will fix the issue temporarily.
Anyway, I called T-Mobile this morning and told them all the details, and all of the things on here that people have had them do to fix theirs temporarily and they opened a help desk ticket to investigate the network and the G1's to see if there was a network issue causing this. They did state they need as many examples as possible to narrow down the issue, so if you are having this problem, call t-mobile and ask for a help desk ticket opened, the more they get, they may find a problem.
Tell them multiple people you know are having the same issue nationwide , hopefully they will find a problem without calling it individual phone issues and trying to replace all of ours if we keep calling.
Thanks :)

3g is a bit mess up in San Francisco, some time data won't work, then it work for a while again, but voice on 3g works fine.

I don't think this is a 3G problem, I live outside the 3G coverage area and have been having the same problems on Edge. Had my Internet go down 4 times today, it's getting annoying and I hope the fix it asap.

He is correct, this problem happens with 3G as well as edge connections, the easy fix is to switch airplane mode on and off to get your data connection reset

Happens to me to. Just reset the connection by either turning on and off, airplane mode, wifi, or 2g only. Gets annoying though.
I'm on edge btw.
EVERYONE who is experiencing this issue should call in! They will escalate as more tickets pile up.

Living in Pittsburgh [Edge Network]. I had alot of network problems all weekend. I got a service ticket created on sunday. Throughout today I had some loss of network connection. My wife's phone is having the exact same problems as mine, at the same time as my problems. With both phones, if I change to wifi there are no issues. It's got to be an issue with the data network for me.
Give it time. Wifi worked for me and one day I put my phone down connected for a minute, and when I picked it up, nothing.
Phone said it was still connected, but had to disconnect/reconnect to get moving again.

This has been happening to me as well. Both on 3G and EDGE.
had some issues with the back casing on my G1 last friday, everything else had worked perfectly for a week with it. I decided to exchange it for a new one since i was in my 14 day buyers remorse period, and since friday when I got the 2nd G1 I've had this data problem, can access gmail, but browser and android market, along as most other apps (like compare everywhere) wont connect unless I switch in and out of "use only 2g networks"

I have news for you guys -- I'm having the same problem with my operators here in the UAE (Dubai). I question if it is really a network problem or if it is a radio issue. Would like to hear from other users around the world who are using this on non-ATT/TMo networks.

I was having this problem too, so I called T-mo today.
The cs told me that I did not have a data plan, which was odd because I got it when I ordered the phone. Edge worked for a bit but stopped altogether yesterday. They re-added the plan and they instructed me to shut down and pop the battery for a sec. No problems with data so far.

I am having the same issues with my data connection dropping off. It also happens with my Wifi and not just edge. I am in Raleigh, so no 3G here yet :(

I had similar problem today, even my sony ericsson doesnt want to go online. Last night my G1 was a bit hot when I was browsing and I have a funny feeling it damaged my SIM card. I cannot even send picture messages as well.
