View Full Version : Store Messages and Contacts on Phone?

I've seen threads were people say that their contacts and messages are stored on their phone, but that doesn't seem to be the case with me. My SIM card is full of all my old contacts from my last phone, and it even has new contacts that I've added from within gmail. Today I got the "SIM card full", and I only had maybe a handful of messages on there, so I guess my SIM card is tiny.

Is there a setting to force the contacts and messages to be stored on the phone instead? Also, what about deleting the contacts on the SIM, seems like that's not possible with the G1.

Actually scratch that part about messages on my SIM, it's only my contacts on there, but I have confirmed that it is new contacts that have been added since I got the G1.

Thanks bud. That will delete the contact from my SIM and of course from gmail. I want to do two things:

a) store contacts on phone instead of SIM
b) clear SIM

I appreciate your enthusiasm, but I've already done that a long time ago.

When I restarted my phone today I got the "SIM full" warning, so something must be getting stored on there. If it's not contacts and it's not messages, what the heck is it?

Delete some messages from your card.
