Yeah I have an LG chocolate with music on it and never use it for that. Very happy with my Sandisk Sansa Fuze. :)

I bought my iPod to play music and my phone to use for communication/information. I could not do without either of them and would hate to lose both of them. That's why I keep them separate. Plus, I have a great pair of Shure headphones that don't work with the G1 unless I purchased another thing to carry around!

I'm the same way, my phone is for communication/information. I prefer to use my iPod (right now a Nano but soon to be a Touch) for music. Just makes more sense to me.

Yea, I never use my phone for Music. That's what my iPod is for. I'm not going to run down the battery listening to music so that I cannot receive a phone call/email.

G1 for me is Communicator/Post it Notes/Planner/ w.e. cool apps it provides. With its current battery life, I don't think playing music on it is a good option.

I switch to my SE W610i (outstanding battery life btw) for w/e event I'm going to. Managing contacts sucks.

G1 is my first music phone. But probably wont use it for music much. Don't listen to headphones really, and use my TomTom for music in the car.

I use my 20GB iPod, which I need to upgrade so I can hold more music.

However when I don't have my iPod and would like a very limited selection of tunes (which is rarely), I use my phone.

I use my G1 for music, but I agree the battery life recommends against it. However, as long as I let it play music and I don't touch it between songs to mess with stuff, it will last most if not all of the day. E.g. it's great at work. Problem is, I work at a desk with a computer in front of me, so I might as well just put my MP3s there and use the BIG speakers.

I don't expect to use my G1 for music.

I have an 80 gig iPOD.

I use that a lot all the time.

but there are those times when i don't feel like carrying around the extra weight.

so i just put songs on my phone that i know i'll listen to.

It comes in handy.

The only thing i don't like is the ugly headphone sets that we have.

It looks way too bulky

I would have to agree with the people above. I also have an 80gig ipod that i use for music use. I rather save my battery life on my phone. :)

i've got about 5 gigs on here (thats very limited selection) if we get a2hd or whatever it is bluetooth i'l listen to more, but honestly that and the headphone jack do keep me from listening to more.

but i'l always have some backup tunes on it for when i only want to carry one device (which is anytime i'm limited to jean pockets or less)

I use my G1 to play music in my car and on the go, I would like to see the stereo bluetooth support but untill that happens i modded my stock headset with a 3.5mm jack and got some nice denon earbuds that have a short cord so it works good

the sound quality is very good on the G1
