can i remove my contacts from blackberry?

Just got my g1 like an hour ago, my entire phonebook was apparently saved to my blackberry pearl, and was wondering if there is any way to copy them over to the G1 without taking an hour to manually type them all in there.

Also.. there is no way to shut down an app when you open it? For example.. when I open my browser it will not get closed down until I restart the phone?

Yea...Sync your blackberry with ya pc...your contacts will automatically save to outlook/outlook express whichever one you have....then after that, just export those contacts from outlook as a CSV file and thats it...then go to your gmail account online on your PC not the g1...import the file and all your contacts will be added to your gmail account.

some might be outta wack, but its better to adjust a few than do eace one manually..worked for me.
