hi,

i switched of any synchronisation , but the network symbol shows that there is
constant traffic. sending and receiving. it drains my battery like mad.
yes, i searched the forum, but i didnīt find any answer about a taskmanager, that actually shows, which programm is running. it just shows the recent ones, right?

anybody experiencing the same problem?

thanks in advance

peter

possible tips:

(you said you already turned off sync.. but for anyone else)
turn off data sync for contacts/calendar/gmail ... unless you use gmail (i do)
i dont use the calendar.. and i read somewhere that if you alter your contacts from your phone it does a force sync... (have yet to test that) so it shouldnt be a problem

also if you are not in a 3G area... (im not) you can go into wireless controls>mobile networks and turn on 'use only 2G networks'
that *may* be why the data keeps showing send/recieve
but if it is a program (from the market perhaps) running in the background
the easiest (though annoying) way to close it would probably be to shut the phone off .. then restart
maybe then you could even test to see which program it is... assuming it is indeed a program from the market

then of course turning off GPS and wifi.. unless needed

I only just changed these settings today... hopefully tomorrow ill see a difference

I think I read somewhere that the autosync loop error was going to be fixed with the new update. If that is true, then I take it that you have not received any updates since getting your phone.

Actively log-off from any online programs you recently used such as imeem etc. I found that after using imeem, I must actively log off from my imeem account and not just press "pause" and then the G1 home screen, otherwise, it keeps using the bandwith.
