Just as T-Mobile gets ready to finally roll out it's entire 3G network, Sprint is nearly ready to start rolling out 4G/WiMax in some markets...I have not found a ton of info on WiMax, but from what I do know, the first device Sprint will offer with WiMax is the Nokia N810 WiMax edition.
How is 4G/WiMax expected to progress throughout the mobile world? How soon will phones be offered with a 4G/WiMax chipset?
***I know most of the information regarding 4G/WiMax is speculation, but I hope to bring at least some clarity to this thread as I am sure some of you out there have found credible information.

Actually, IIRC, Sprint was preparing to release an android based phone later this year itself which would be WiMax capable. That, combined with a WiMax, android based Nokia N810 would seriously kick some ass :)

Nokia is the last company I see actually releasing an Android.

I think HTC is a shoe-in for the next Android phone wherever it goes. Look at the top 5 phones lately, HTC takes all/most of the top 5. Second in line would probably be SE.

Even if sprint is the first to roll out 4G (in which case they'll probably jack up the prices on their data plans even more). I would not in any forseeable future move from t-mobile to sprint. I've heard terrible stories about their customer service, and I for one am glad that I always speak to wonderful people when I call 611. Lol, I know that's besides the point, but anyway- I don't mind waiting for t-mobile as long as they treat me well. Wi-fi + 3g (or even edge) is all I need to keep my needs at bay.

MAJOR BUMP?! What's the cue on this now? I was just watching a commercial on TV and they mentioned 4G.

Why is everyone excited about 4g on G1 when the G1 can barely run 3g for 2hrs without the batteries capacity fully drained.
