Ok,
Soooo.... how DO all you Tbird users and folks migrating from Verizon get all your contacts moved over to gmail/G1?
I've looked at bunches of threads and it all seems so convoluted, mainly due to gmail contacts using a different .csv protocol (headers).

Here's what I'd like to do:

Get all the numbers from my verizon phone into gmail contacts/G1.
Get all my T-bird contacts into gmail/G1

Since I have some contacts in my verizon phone with just a number or two, and some of those same contacts in T-bird with just an email and maybe a snail mail, I'd like to merge them all correctly so that I basically just have one main addy book (gmail contacts) with ALL of whatever info I have for each contact. Oh...might as well add yahoo messenger and other IM contacts to that as well.
I do have BitPIM to assist in getting the data off my verizon phone.

From what I can tell, I'm either in for a LOT of manual entry and/or ALOT of time trying to get it all into a spreadsheet and then importing. (I have openoffice if that helps any)

Are there any tutorials you all have run across to make this transition easier? Tips, tricks, ANYTHING?? Or should I just buck up and start typing manually, one entry at a time into gmail contacts?

Thanks!
Joe

oh... yes, I've read a bunch of threads...but it still seems like there is no seamless way to easily make it happen. I'll keep searching in the meantime.

subscribe my.funambol.com
and check the funambol sync client in the market , then you have also funambol sync client for thunderbird, i don't know what is your phone but it's probably compatible with Funambol so you can migrate your data easelly
