Saving messages or email?

if you add let's say gmail to your phone or any other email account, the email from your gmail account will be saved to your phone. The email will only delete if you manually delete it from your desktop pc or your G1. as for messages such as text messaging, they wont disappear/delete unless you set it as such. In other words, the amount of messages saved to your phone is depended solely upon the size of your sdhc card

The best way to handle e-mail is to setup the e-mail to archive accordingly.
Someone sends you an e-mail... you get it on the phone ... you read it ... then it gets automatically stored into your archive folder on GMAIL account.

If you really need to see all messages, setup your e-mail with POP3 and your GMAIL account and you will be able to access all archived and all messages that you currently have on your gmail account.

Saving pics or vids from MMS is not possible at this point is my understanding.....gay.....
