There's something even better than speed dial. If you haven't already, go to Android Market and install AnyCut. You can use it to make shortcuts for many things, including one-touch speed dial shortcuts. Then there's no need to use the dialer keyboard at all and you're not limited to 9 numbers.

Can someone point me in the direction of some kind of speed dialMy son says there is a speed dialer in the Market that he really liked. I uses a virtual keypad with something like T9 input. Difference is that it returns names from your contacts rather than words from a dictionary.

Yeah I use anycut, puts a shortcut on your desktop that dials the number with one touch.

It would be nice to be able to change the icons and perhaps signify whether they are phone numbers or email or im. Currently they just all show up the same so you don't know which one you are pushing.

Other than that it is pretty cool app.
