OK so somebody you're not too crazy about is blowing up your phone all day.. you see the call coming in, your ringtone is blaring and you don't wanna take the call.

There's no obvious option on the G1 to ignore the call and stop that ringing..

(you'd think there would be a touchscreen option- or you could at least hit "menu" but noooo..)

anyway, I did some testing, and if you hit the BACK KEY while a call is coming in, it will silence the ringer, and not pick up the call.. you will get sent back to what brazzers mobile (http://www.mobilebrazzers.com) you were doing, and the person calling will not be sent directly to voice mail- they will have to go through the entire ringing process before going to your VM.. so they can't tell you "ignored" them.

If you press the RED button- it will silence the ringer, bring you back to what you were doing, but SEND THEM RIGHT TO VOICEMAIL. So someone might know you are ignoring their call.

The HOME key doesnt seem to do anything.

I was able to hit + and - on the left hand side and silent the ringing and voicemail would wait for all rings to go through.

When you click HANG UP (red button) then it goes to the voicemail directly.

So what is new about that? Well, .... ummm ... pretty much nothing :)

pressing the volume key when its ringing also stops the ringing and doesn't send right to voicemail.

Yeah pressing the volume key is pretty standard on phones to silence them.

I like the BACK button suggestion better than messing with the volume control. Besides it feels natural now. The BACK button seems to be the most used button on the G1 :)

What?! Theres a freaking volume key!!!?? Damnit!

Oh and if I will be ignoring someone I will make it very very obvious that they are being ignored, especially if I owe them money.
