I think i found an issue after the R29 Update....

i do not get 3g anymore while on a call...
i know i was getting it before... not anymore

go back in your phone settings and make sure you dont have only 2g calling set up maybe it reverts some settings after the patch.

I don't think its related to r29. I'm on the older version and I'm having intermittent data connection issues.

Search the forums, other people are having issues as well.

3G and phone call never coexisted on the G1. I have RC19 and 3G. But every time I am on a call, the phone drops back to EDGE. Once I'm done with the call, it will switch back to 3G after several seconds. I have always wanted to have access to Google Maps while talking on the phone. So far, no such luck because of this issue.

humm i dont think this is correct...
you can make call and use 3g (go rewatch the google vid, there is a chick that give direction to a friend while their are on the phone, as a prof, if you want more technical data reseach 3g)
but i know that you CONNOT call and be on edge)
so when i am on a call (since yesterday) i dont have an internet connection at all

Maybe it's a DC 3G limitation then. I get dropped from 3G as soon as I start a call. DC 3G hasn't officially been announced yet. It was scheduled to go live at the end of November. So this could be the reason. Oh yeah, when on 3G, I also couldn't terminate the call sometimes. Never happened when I was on EDGE.

Yeah now when you connect to a computer you get a notification and the you have to mount the image to load anything on the device. I believe this was done because before, with some chargers your device would not play music froom the sd card. Now you have to tell it to mount so it does automatically switch to mass storage when connected to usb. Atleast mine did when connected to my car charger.

If you haven't received the update you will get it soon the are being sent out in batches from what I was told was that all updates should be down by like nov. 10th or something like that. Be patient you will get it

i copy/paste the zip file to my root directory on my micro sd card renamed it update.zip it goes through the recognitio n process and then stops after 2 lines and says file error zip not found. Can someone help me with this please

I have rc-19 and I have never been able to talk and use the web at the same time on 3g. I can however talk and use the web when i'm using wifi.

Where are you located, there have been some 3G network issues on the East Coast today. I did the SD update and thought I messed up the phone and apparently I did it during a network "reboot".

name it update chances are u dont have file extensions showing so its really named update.zip.zip so take off the zip and try it
