No way to add a number into your contacts from the call log or text message.(a number thats not already in there, you have to manually add instead of having the option to save the number into contacts.)

All you have to do is long-press a number in your call log to add it to your contacts.

#1 issue I have with the phone: No A2DP- so it is going back on Tuesday (unless I get a glimmer of hope that T-Mobile will allow/Google will implement in the next few months)

Flash support would be Awesome.

I worked-around the contact/calendar sync as I like to keep outlook and Google synced up anyway- but an Exchange (or Blackberry) client would kick some serious butt!

I wish that in your call log it would group all the phone calls to one person together like they do in texts...instead of listing the same person 3 times in a row if you call them...is there a setting i can change for it to do this!

Get the unlimited plan. You get unlimited text (same as IM's)

Download maverick from the app market, it let's you send pics using that I'm program..

1) Need much improved Browser bookmarking options (ability to add fodlers and arrange order)

2) Ability to seperate the screen timeout from the LOCK. I want my screen to timeout in 2 minutes- but not lock for 10

3) Hitting the red button after a call DOES NOT LOCK the phone.

4) AUTO ORIENTATION option based on tilt.

5) Fix the AIM app so it shows an online AIM icon in the top bar, and notifies you if you get disconnected.

6) TAP TO ZOOM in browser. (plus option to turn off the zoom popup thing)

7) Allow assigning shortcuts to buttons in apps like the browser.
(I want the volume keys to functions as page up/down - or perhaps the red+green buttons to serve this purpose.)

The red button should lock the phone after a call. It took very little time to get used to it and now I'm very glad it works how it does.

i have been standing by loyaly to this OS and the G1.

But seriously there are some things that are REALLY REALLY REALLY starting to piss me off.

1) i cannot do anything data wise via WiFi. Nothing. i get a "no data connection" error. Ive tried multiple networks.

2) MMS. i don't get them. AT ALL.

when i send MMS, the recipient either doesn't get them or they get a white square. Not even to another G1. doesn't work.

3) standing in the middle of downtown seattle. loosing 3g to EDGE. That part i dont care about. But, what i do care about is it looming between 3g and EDGE until i reset the phone. So basically i loose all data until i reset the phone. because it cant switch on a timly manner. One time i gave it a halfhour to figure it out and it couldnt.

4) SMS not going through, i keep getting msgs that say my msg failed to send. yes while i have a data connection.

5) DROPPING ALMOST EVERY CALL I MAKE.

6) sometimes when i go to take a picture, or save a photo from the interweb. I get a "must have SD in phone" Or some ****ing similar error. so i have to reset the phone.

7) i received my phone 2 days before launch and have yet to get the OTA. but my mom just went and bought one yesterday and received her OTA update 4 hours later.

oh ****.. i just found #8.... i cant turn down the incall volume... it just chills in one place.

the os is pretty promising. google has billions to dump into it without really... caring too much about sales.

- No options for different Vibrate settings.
- Can't save apps to the SD card.
- You should be able to d/l and install updates from the web vs. waiting for the OTA update (yes, I know this exists, but it's not supported)

How about some keyboard sounds for the qwerty keyboard. Texting on a keyboard with no sound is wack.

This is a great phone and has amazing potential but needs work.

1. Must be able to save apps to sdcard. This is a major flaw that must be fixed asap. I have had the phone for 1 week and I am already out of space.

2 Onscreen keyboard. This would be a nice option to have.

3. TETHERING!!!!

4. Switching from landscape to portrait using the by turning the phone.

5. An better way to zoom. Multitouch would be nice but I don't think the hardware allows it but maybe a double click or something.

6. A way to select text by dragging your finger over it and then being able to copy and paste. Maybe by using a shift key to toggle between selecting text and scrolling.

Somethings gotta be wrong with your phone. What data plan are you using? Are you connecting to unencrypted WiFi networks? The other issues sound like a defective phone.

#1 Complaint for me : cant store apps on the microSD card. What people have to realize is this is NOT like your previous phone. All phones handle things differently. If you dont like certain things, the beauty of Android is you can change them.

How about a way to sync contacts to outlook.

Check out gSyncIt. (http://www.daveswebsite.com/software/gsync/) I just bought a license and it works really well! The beautiful thing? Now I can keep my G1 sync'ed with Outlook constantly and without cradling it! This is definitely worth $9.99.

I have seen this when I have multiple entries associated to a phone number- such as a cell phone under both a friend and his wife's contact info (primary # on one, alternate # on another). Duplicate contacts will also do this (which Google Contacts is very good at creating!).

id like an onscreen keyboard i dont like flipping up the phone to type 1 word

oh ya and it wont send mms :-/ probably cant receive any either
