How's your reception?

I have noticed that I get better reception on this phone than I do on either of the 2 other phones I have with Tmobile. My wife has a dash, and I just bought my mother a Pearl.
The Pearl gets the poorest signal. The Dash is ok, but I usually get a better signal than it does.

I have noticed it on both 3G (which neither of the other phones get obviously) and on EDGE.

Anyone else notice this?

Mines got 2 bars more than my BB curve on the same location.

Yea reception is def the best i've ever had on a tmo phone.

Reception on the G1 is so much better then the Wing, It is also much more accurate. The Wing would show me full bars then when i tried to make a call it would do the "No Signal" beep then disconnect from the network. I know with the G1 if it shows bars i can make a call. Even in my basement where the Wing was hit or miss!

Sounds impressive. I was surprised T-Mobile would be the first mobile service provider for the G1, considering that they sometimes have weak signals in places where AT&T and Verizon are strong.

yeah, there are some exceptions for me, my school and home are like painted with lead or something 1 room its 1 bar another its 3+ bars or if I step out side, voila full reception. im thinking about hooking up a signal repeater at home to fix that problem other wise reception is good

The G1 gets the best reception I've ever had short of a Sanyo 8100, a CDMA Sprint phone. So apples to oranges. As far as GSM phones go, this kick both the Curve and the Pearl's ass, and was better that the MDA or Dash.

I am extremely impressed with the call quality too.

It was a bit iffy at first, but now it's good. Just as good when I had the service last year with my SE K550.

I have no complaints on reception. It's actually been pretty good for the most part.

Much better reception than my MDA. My husband has noticed the same.
