most people were buying the black one with its rubberised paint finish.
the white one has a shiny plastic. it looks a bit cheap.
i normally always go fro white over black
but i didnt really like the look of the white one - also it has a silver keypad
and line though the middle.

it looks ok really - probably get less marks on it than the black one too.

i gotta agree the white is f*&*&*^ great!!!! i dont think it looks cheap at all and cant wait to sell my cheap looking black one for a white one

i half wish i had gone for white too
all the stickers in the box seem only useful for putting on the white version
with its smooth shiny plastic rather than the matt rubberised paint on the black ones

I just bought my G1 today...and saw both the white and black in person. Decided on the black, cause the white one looks and feels like a cheap plastic toy. If you want the white, I really suggest you see and hold it in person before going for it. Personally, I'd recommend the black one, but if you like the white one, go for it :)

Ok, saw the stickers and I didn't miss anything because mine didn't come with them. Didn't see any I would want to use anyhow. Was hoping to have a lil android sticker for my phone. But I will make some on my own for it.

I had the white one until yesterday. They are bling but wank. Trying to type on that keyboard in low light is a mission.

That is the single reason I chose to go with the black over the white.

I made the assumption that it would be easier to use a black over a white

Seems to me like they have changed up the non-black keyboard. Hopefully the contrast in medium light is better than the previous version. I do not like the trackball on this white model. Just like the Blackberry Pearl and Curve series, it is bound to get dirty. :(

The dodgy grey keys from the prototypes are gone! The white don't actually look too bad, especially if it stays clean.

that keyboard is def different than the bronze, but it seems like it will have the same issue unless the entire key lights up
