Google phone concept picture

Browsing around on the internet I happened upon a really out of this world, crazy concept that I simply had to share. The concept is fun to look at but seems impossible to deal with. It appears to be more of a decoration than anything. This phone would be hitting the ground from lack of grip mare than making phone calls.

Would text messaging be on a split keyboard with the message in the middle? Glare would be a huge factor on a phone with a curved screen. Would having a curved or odd shaped screen be beneficial? Is this the next big thing?

I think they just want to show off future possible technology that is already made by Sony - now, would this work if it was the phone - well, after 2D flat screen we are using currently I would expect to see hologram images as the next big step up... :) I am not asking for too much ... lol
