AIM New Update?

For those of you who got the update on your G1, do you know if it fixed the problem with the AIM bug that everyone gets where they IM themselves..

what about logging in and logging out?

AIM SUCKS PERIOD ! everytime i IM someone i get a text from myself with their reply, so i look at active chats and theres two IM boxes, one from me and one from the the person that i IMed. Connectivity issues suck ! SLOW TO LOAD ! &i still don't understand why i get an IM from myself with the person's reply.

I've yet to see this 'IM from yourself' problem.

The only thing I've found is that most of my contacts appear offline. However I haven't really used AIM too much, so this could be fixed now?

I believe it was discussed before on this forum that the solution to that problem was to sign in with your username in lowercase without spaces. For example, instead of "xO ScreeN NamE Ox", "xoscreennameox" would be used.
