If I'm reading an email and go to home with the home button it keeps the email open i guess. If I get new emails it does not notify me, it will vibrate but no new email notification.

for email notification you have go into your setting and set it and it depends on how ur setting for your is email are set I choose vibrate for mines once i found out how to set it and when you have ur phone on silent you will still get a notify but it will have a envelpoe at the top instead of vibrating

Accoording to the T-Mobile rep I talked to, the update is supposed to fix this issue. We'll see...

It did not, this is what I'm doing.
Receive an e-mail, check the email, while I'm reading I press home and just leave the phone there.
I then receive a new email, phone vibrates and sounds but I do not see a notification in the top bar. If I go into email, gmail is still in the last email. I press back and I see the new email.
This is not big but its annoying.
