Mornin' All...

My question is how load is the phone received call volume.
I don't want to have to turn the speakerphone on but BlackBerries are always too soft - even on max. volume!

I used to have a Nokia 9000 Communicator and with the volume up it was LOUD!!!! How loud is the G1?

It beats the crap out of my Dash, my blackjack and anything else I remember using.. Holding it to my ear is far stronger than my in ear Blueant Z9i

Thanks! I wonder if there's any old Blackberry users who can comment on the difference...

I'm going to call TMO and order directly from them this weekend. I notice they have no brown in stock just the black.

I used a BB for a while pretty loud in comparison to the ol world phone I used for a few weeks at work, speaker phone is good volume too - definitely a step up from my Dash, Treo, and iPhone :) (I may have a phone addiction - its only cure is more cow bell!)

I had a BB curve. The speaker is not as loud but the regular phone speaker is very nice and loud.

I second that, I had the blackberry Curve also. It's definitely not as loud as it which is pretty lame.

me too. I had the curve also. and G1 is not loud enough. I'd missed few calls because of that

I see some confusion

ear speaker: louder then my curve.

SpeakerPhone: Not as loud as my curve. Not bad though.

The speaker for the ringtones and everything actually is pretty nice, but I think its not as loud as my curve.

I say get it.. I've had days where I missed my curve. I missed it once for the notepad, then I checked the market and one was uploaded, then I missed it for the password protector, then I checked the market and there was one. Get what I'm trying to get at here?

Now I'm confused...
Can I just clarify - the earpiece volume is loud?
I'm not interested in speakerphone just the earpiece for loud phone calls.
Correct?

when you're talking on the phone, it's loud enough.
I just wish the ringtone was louder for me to hear it when I'm outside with bunch of cars passing by, or in public places like malls and stuff.

re ringtones - pick a tone thats shrill and electronic
and avoid musical ones if you are not hearing it go off.
