Wrong field is focused when keyboard is openend in Messaging application: Now when the keyboard is opened, the focus will default to the compose (text entry) field.
Cannot associate with WiFi access point using shared WEP key: Should now be able to associate to access points with a shared WEP key.
Google Contacts/Calendar Sync (endless loop).
USB storage: Now a USB notification will appear in the notifications area when connected via USB. Users must select to use USB Storage if desired.
Email notification doesn't disappear when the Email has been read (POP/IMAP Email client).
New Email notifications not received (POP/IMAP Email client).
Browser does not launch YouTube video when Settings > Enable Javascript is unchecked.

I've yet to see this happen. Unless it's not on a new message but a reply?

But my wifi hasn't had a problem or anything since I got the phone.

I don't use the calendar, but the endless loop syncing with the contacts will be useful...to drain the battery. :p

The browser won't stream YouTube videos anyway. We need flash for that. It will however allow you to watch it using the YouTube application that came with the phone.

I rarely if ever use WiFi or Bluetooth anyway.

Either way, even if the updates seem pointless, it's always good to have updates.

I guess it's nice if you don't want it to be recognized and just want it to be charged. Also before, when I plugged it in to charge (regular) it wouldn't let me access files on the sd unless I had the usb function off.

So it does help.

Yeah, you gotta make sure you have your device set so it can store information on the SD card. Pretty much if you know what you're doing with computers and phones you don't need the notification. However more lets say 'basic' users would get more use from it.

Now don't get me wrong, it's always good to have...it's just not necessary.

i downloaded the update. and I can honestly tell you the battery life is uch much better. I am triying to use it as much as possible with wifi and my batter still shows as full......before the update after 15 it started to drop down. That alone is awesome.

New Email notifications not received (POP/IMAP Email client).


I have the update installed and this is still not fixed on mine. Every other item listed in the list has been fixed (now the text box has the focus on my SMS when first opened! thank you!) but I am still not getting email notifications from my non Gmail accounts and its pissing me off. It is so far the only thing that has angered me about this phone. Also...when it is fixed, is there anway we can get the default client or K9Mail to check pop3's something other than a min of 5min? I'd prefer 1min.
