I can't get into my phone! My buddy was playing with it, and locked it. My phone is asking me to enter my gmail account name, and password. I've entered it a million times, but nothing is working.

Someone please help.

I know my password. I'm not one to forget something like that. I've signed out, and back in on my computer with no problems.

Look man, I'm so sick of you, and the way you talk to people on here, and like I said before you need to grow up.

I'm sure there is a way to do a hard reset on the phone.

I've seen this with my son's phone. Once when he changed his online gMail password and once when he changed which SIM was in the phone. I understand the first time, but I don't understand the second occurrence.

Anyway, after the SIM change, we also had it reject the gMail password a couple of times. The details are kind of fuzzy now, but I think the first time it said the password was not accepted. I *think* this was because the phone was on WIFI and not on EDGE. Then we got on a GPRS network (had a weak connection) and it gave a different message saying the network was not found. Eventually the network was found and it worked.

Bottom line: If you are using WIFI, please try again on EDGE or 3G.

Good luck!

I'd call TMO first, just to make sure.... but to perform a hard reset, turn the phone on while "holding" the home and back buttons then follow the screen prompts. I've never had to do this but read it in the forum... has anyone had luck with this hard reset?

Well, after being on the phone for 2 hrs, the phone could not be unlocked. Guess what they had to do..? Hard reset, so everything I had is gone. ><

Man, that sucks. Sorry to hear. Look at it this way: at least now you know if you lose your phone someday, you can rest assured that the little punk who found it won't have access to your email, text, and any other stuff you might have on there :)
