I own a verizon 3g/wifi xoom but bought it unsubsidized therefore I don't use verizon 3g service! At google i/o it was announced that the verizon 3g xoom update would roll out today! Will I receive the update or will it be limited to ppl who actually use verizon service?

It seems that if you set your clock forward a couple of days, that it will force your Xoom to update :D! Tell us how it works out for you!

Tried it! Still no update! My question hasn't been answered by anyone! Not verizon! Not motorola! Not google! Not androidcommunity! Not techcrunch! Not androidandme! Not androidcentral! Not....... well, you get the picture! ;)

You could always root your Xoom and install the update manually.... but you will definitely run a risk of damaging your Xoom if you aren't experienced with that sort of thing. Click Here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=13683680&postcount=1) for the link to see the process others with the WiFi only model go through in putting 3.1 on their Xooms. Remember to please do this at your own risk -- (it will void your warranty).

I got the update today so 3g xooms that don't use verizon service ARE receiving the update!

One feature thts not being reported or publicized is the task wheel in the browser! Its REALLY cool!!!!
