So, who uses the screen lock feature? and why?

are you paranoid someone will steal it? are you keeping your friends/family/coworkers from using it?

just curious....

scared it will hit something in my pocket and call someone. My stupid wing did that alot. So I use the lock screen now it works great

I think by screen lock he means the pattern. The screen locks itself always.

Yeah, I use it.

It's fun to play with when creating your pattern.

That screen lock with the pattern to unlock it is major cool factor points!! :) they like the phone before they even unlock it hahaha.

I use it, mainly so I won't accidentally call someone but also I don't always want people messin with my phone in certain places

I like it, but it gets complicated for me. I wish it would require a minimum of 3 dots, instead of 4.

i have mine disabled at the moment, because i dont like constantly re-entering the unlock swipes.

I'm really paranoid!! So I keep mines locked with like a 10 + dot combination lock password! :)

It's an annoying feature having to enter in that pattern every single time your phone goes on sleep mode. Perhaps if you could lock the phone yourself and just have the standard menu lock other times, that would be fine, but no, you have to enter the pattern every single time.

I use it, but I agree with the quote above.

The Blackberry had a lock function, with the option to lock after 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 30 minutes, etc.

That was nice, because the main reason I want it locked is in case i lose it.

If I lose it, and it locks after, say, 20 minutes of non-activity, that would eliminate having to swipe in my password EVERY time I use the phone, but would still provide protection.

Oh, well, swiping is MUCH easier then typing in my password was on the Blackberry.

It should be 1 dot! :p

I don't like it, it's cumbersome to draw a pattern every time I want to use the phone.

i use it.the reason is,i ride a motorcycle every chance i get,its a kickstart bike also.with my wing i would lock my phone and while i was kicking it or even just ride it,it would somehow unlock and call people.this makes it harder for me to unlock in my pocket

I dont mind the screen lock since ive had multiple phones that have dialed on me. Thats far more annoying then having to unlock every time

wouldn't it be cool if u could add a password to your text messaging? I hate people looking at my texts . So maybe someone could make a app for this .

How could you use a 10 dot pattern when the most it allows, or so I thought, was a 6 dot pattern, aka visiting every dot only once.

I use it sometimes, but it gets annoying when u have to put the pattern in every. Time u want to use it.. plus the pattern is on the screen as your finger smudges the screen..

Wouldn't it be cool if someone came out with a app that u have to say something or draw something to unlock your phone. Or maybe a thing that only reconize your voice and only your voice. Also I wish we could put a password on text messaging bc I hate people looking at my texts. And u never know what u might be hiding.

I use it only because it's such a simple process to insert your visual password opposed to typing it out.

screen locks always gave me a headache. i always forgot the combo but i had my laptop and could sync the ipod with i. but my laptop broke down and i of course forgot again the combo and had to delete every single thing... now i just live without the screen lock combo. it's easier.

My Nexus has never pocket dialed (except when it was running the Desire ROM, swipe down to unlock is terrible for inserting in your pocket). So, I don't need a lock for that. I do use WaveSecure though so it will lock if it is put in Airplane Mode, SIM is removed, or if it's remotely locked. That way I still have the ability to lockdown a lost phone but, don't have to swipe a pattern to unlock it everytime.

Nope. I don't leave my phone sitting around and I always have my stuff set up to lock quickly.

I disabled the lock screen because it takes too much time to open. That's just me though.

I only enable the screen pattern when I am somewhere where I think the data on my phone should be protected. Like my moms house. Nosey woman.

To disable the splashes on the lock screen from anti virus. open the program and go to settings, remote management, enable lost message. ;)
