I've seen people say they're running their phone until the battery dies for calibration. What exactly is being calibrated?
Thanks

from what I'm reading from the other threads, it's the phone's battery meter that is in need of calibration. I ran my battery until the phone turned off yesterday, and did an overnight charge. Guess we'll see how battery life is today.

I believe the phone needs to know when its fully-charged charged, so charge it for a good 2-4hrs maybe. Even if it says 100% charged leave it till it charges more cause it's not quite charged then use it till it gets pretty low or maybe till it turns off. So the battery metering knows how long its life is, hope this somewhat helps. If you can get the idea from that.

And it actually seemed to have worked - my battery lasts a lot longer than before.

I depleted my battery until it turned itself off. The second I plugged in the charger and turned the phone on, it said 32% charging....Sounds like a bad battery, what do you guys think?

Eh, I think it may be fine - as long as you're getting the proper battery life.

I've had my phone charging for 40 mins now after draining it all the way down. It is showing 46% charged...doesn't seem accurate.

THe Timer built into your Ion battery that tells you how much energy you really have left. If it is uncalibrated it gives you a fake read and your tricked into charging your phone when it does not need to be charged thus aging your battery way too fast thus destroying the WORLD!!!!

You need to fully charge the battery and kill it completely 2-3 times before its starts to read pretty accurately I did this on my phone and my battery is seeming to last 2x as long now
before i did this i noticed that when my battery got under 20% it took a lot longer to kill it so it was obviously a calibration issue and my batterys life isn't getting better its just the phone is telling me the state of the charge more accurately

Dont worry HTC is releasing a Turbo Battery that runs on Plutonium it charges itself with this green glowy liquid and all our problems will be solved only side effect is that if you keep your phone in your pocket and your a dude your testicles will produce contaminated semen and if you have a kid the kid will be a ANDROID. If your a CHick your Ovaries will produce Too much estrogen making you super weak.
