So it's here. Launched in the UK today.
Launch at 0700 in the store on Oxford Street. Was anyone there? How many people turned out?
Noone except me at my local shop. The staff seemed pretty clueless about the whole thing. Am on the £40 tariff, which has 800 anytime mins, unlimited texts, and unlimited data. Phone was free. Also paying £6.99 insurance.
First impressions are very good. 3G is very, very quick. Edge is impressive too. Phone feels solid and well built. Android itself seems very clever.
Set up was so easy. Put in my Apps for Domain email address, and it just worked. Cal, email, contacts. Brilliant.
Plugging it into a PC was fine, and I just dragged music files onto the SD card.
Absolutly need a way of closing programs that are running though, and the native IM programme is wierd..can't see how to add an MSN account, so have downloaded IM+ from the Market. Also needs a screen keyboard, to do quick texts, etc...and also for the screen to flip without having to open the keyboard.
Annoyingly it doesn't come with a USB to 3.5mm Headphone adaptor, so will need to visit Maplin.
