Tmobile quickly expanding 3G HSDPA high-speed data network

T-Mobile has finally announced the locations of its new 3G network placement by the end of the year. Currently all 13 major metropolitan areas including Austin, Baltimore, Boston, Dallas, Houston, Las Vegas, Miami, Minneapolis, New York (including northern New Jersey and Long Island), Phoenix, Portland, San Antonio and San Diego is receiving T-Mobile’s UMTS/HSDPA high-speed data network.

By mid-October areas including Atlanta, Chicago, Los Angelas, Orlando, Philadelphia, , San Francisco and Seattle will have the high speed 3G data connection. In addition to these areas, T-Mobile expects to expand its network to Birmingham, Denver, Detroit, Kansas City, Memphis and Tampa by the end of 2008.

nothing in tucson, az? i know it's a small town compared to those major cities. Does this mean that when the dream comes out, i won't get 3G?

You must remember it is rolling out really fast. It takes a long time to roll out a network that covers all of the United States. Just hang in there, you will get it soon enough.

Here is the funny part: at home I have 30MBps internet cable connection... at work I have about 10MBps internet connection and of course I have been using internet at work and at home continuously ... BUT, here si the thing: when I am out of work and outside somewhere I have no internet. Therefore I am looking forward to becoming new 3G user and using all services that the phone will have to offer. I just can't wait ... I feel like tech-junkie a little bit ... :) j/k

i cant wait until 3G finally makes it to chicago...i use the internet on my blackberry, ALL the time, if not for google maps, i'm using it for espn, and some other forums i frequent, now just to get my hands on a 3G phone so i can use the new technology :)
