HTC keyboard back [Archive]

Hi there,

Yesterday I installed Elelinux 6.2.0 Hero Speedmachine v3 rom to my HTC Hero. Everything's going fine. However I did not like the keyboard and want my HTC keyboard back again. How can I do it?

find the hero keyboard apk. should be like "htc_ime.apk" if i'm not mistaken. get that and install it via a file explorer on your phone.

I would suggest the HTC ime mod that can be found on XDA. Its that keyboard, but loaded with extra settings.

I found it on XDA and downloaded the zip. However in the zip archive there are 2 folders (meta-inf and system) and inside of those folders there is not only .apk files also .rsa , .sf, .mf type of files. How can install the zip archive? Should I install it by using a rom manager? Also, should I do anything extra before installing the zip archive? (like wipe dalvik cache etc.)
