How do you copy/paste text from the Gmail app?

How can I copy/paste text from an email from the Gmail app?

U can only copy/paste from text fields. I think gmail is like the browser in the sense that it seems to render like a big image hence u can't copy and paste from it. If an email app does not come out with copy and paste then the g1 will never go big with busiiness users.

(That should serve as a workaround...at least for now!)

i use a usb mini mouse connect it to my G1, and copy and paste, if its work for u let know...LOL...have fun

let's hope we can copy/paste wherever there is text in the near future.. thats one of the things i'm missing from my sidekick... well, at least we can do some of it unlike.....

Doesn't work, unless I'm missing something. Now we have a Note Application I'm trying to figure out how to get my old Outlook notes over, I thought email but no way to select, same with Google Docs. Ideas?
