Ok im wanna say sorry because i was having sinful thoughts about going to at&t and switching to get iphone or getting an unlocked iphone for tmobile because my patience is running low on the android rite now to develop some good apps. But i understand these is a beta and it barely started an etc. etc. but u know why most of these programs rite now arent that good...its cuz most of them are integrated into the actual interface of the G1 or with default programs of the g1. They run like seprate programs which in some case is understandable but like the digital clock feature in the app. store that feature would be so much better if u were able to put it as a widget....i was just crazy for a moment and im bak to reality with the g1 and im gonna stay with this revolutionary phone, its just i had a sway of faith for a moment. But can some please reassure me that we will start seeing some real customizable things like changing how the dialer looks or how or how the interface of your sms messanger looks like making it look like th iphone sms interface and just little things like that.....

Not to worry, it's only going to get better. It's not a matter of if, it's a matter of when. It will get better. Now we'll see a lot of apps before we start seeing android OS being re-coded, but it will happen.

as far as the sms appearing like iphones, you'll probably never see that unless someone else comes along and creates it, and even then apple might get pissy because i strongly suspect that apple has a trademark over that interface. if you dont like google, or the way the present their services, do us all a favor and go return your g1, stfu, and jump off a cliff
