Exact Address Street View

Anyone figured this out yet?

Someone told me to do "My Location" and then press the trackball to select that spot. Not true.

I type an address, it gives me the neighborhood, then I have to try and sausage finger the exact address I want, which is never correct.

Ya iv'e been wondering the same thing. It is tough for me to get my big ol' gorilla fingers in those tight @@$ spots! ;-)

So out of the thousands of members on here no one knows how to get an exact location in street view?......Wow, that's impressive! Usually there will be many people with answers or at least flaunting a little ignorance! Anyway, wish we could get an answer, but it doesn't look like that is going to happen anytime soon! Sorry bro looks like we are SOL!

You can get exact address directions while in street view by choosing menu>search and inserting the address or you can get directions from the menu key. Works for me.

I always have to giant finger it near the location and then spend 5 minutes hitting the little arrows on the street and waiting for it to refresh until I get to where I want. There should be a way to use the trackball to navigate the little guy, but I haven't figured it out yet.

Yeah second post with this topic. both with complete silence. I figured someone would either answer or you would end up with that..."oh yeah...this is BS...I'm returning my G1" posts.

I do think it is strange they hyped this feature so much and then a very basic functionality of it is missing.

Not asking for directions. As soon as you search it returns to regular map mode.

I would like to choose an address and see street view at that address.

yeah. mmhhmmmm.

when in map mode, you can drag the little guy with a bullseye to the location you want, roughly. Then hit street view, not the answer your looking for, but the only one there is I believe.

Drag the little orange guy onto your location.

Or... you can use your sausage finger to get the little orange guy on a location near the one you want and then use the trackball to move to the location you actually want.
