I don't know if there already has been a post about this. But I just confirmation from a rep "secret shopping" at my store that DC will be up and running in about a week. If I'm wrong can anyone correct me?

I am patient on 3G. Edge is actually not that bad on the G1. Since I am paying for it though, the sooner the better I guess.

You are right.. Edge is surprisingly fast. I am usually on Wifi anyway either at Home or Work.

yep, i'm in bethesda right now and got a 3G signal! sometimes it switches back to EDGE though.

I had 3g for a second in lanham... might have been longer as I wasn't paying attention. Once I took the exit for 50 east it went back to edge.

I was pleasantly surprised to see the 3G icon on my G1 after work today, driving down Quince Orchard RD/Kentlands heading towards North Potomac, while on my way home. I got so excited that I stopped at a gas station to double check which network I was registered on lol. DC Metro & Its suburbs need no introduction. It only makes sense to have 3G. :D
