quick alarm and 3g question

2 quick questions

1). does the alarm on the G1 have a "auto on" feature? like if I set my alarm and turn the phone off will the alarm still go off at the set time?


2). seems like my 3G connection switches back and forth with Edge... like i notice the icon on top of the screen goes back and forth from "3G" and "E" but I have 3G coverage here and I am right in the middle of it.... i live in L.A.... is theres something wrong with my phone?

I just tested this on mine and the alarm did not work with the power off.

Hey Sidebrake!

1) The phone alarm will NOT turn the phone on if its turned off.

2). No..nothing wrong with the phone. T-mo is having lots of problems since the G3 service is also new like the G1 Phone itself. GIve them time to work out the kinks.

damn it! im use to having my phone off and the alarm coming on, on my BB. Think there will be an update for this?
