Are all the emails downloaded to the phone after synch?
I got about 4000 emails (500MB).
I hope theyre not.

Good question lol Can someone asnwer the question rather all the emails are on my g1?

When I go to the Gmail link in my applications it shows "Loading Conversations...".
When I go to Manage Applications I am showing Gmail=40KB and Gmail Storage=56KB.
So I think that the messages are stored remotely. I also noticed that they will stop loading until you scroll down to your older messages then it will start "Loading Conversations..." again.
