I'm not mad, because it's like 30 bucks. And not having to wait until walmart sells it is worth that 30 dollars.
Also, I hate walmart :) Plus I'm not sure of whether or not this would be applicable to current T-mobile subscribers.
If it's not, then walmart wouldn't have helped me at all.

Walmart as always sold there phones cheaper than T-mobile. I look for the better deal i dont care what store has it. The first phone i got from T-Mobile was 50 from them, goto walmart it was free, and i got a free bluetooth. So who you think i picked???

Were you mad about the initial iphone $200 price drop?
This is what you get for having it early.

I was irked but I figured the $30 was well worth having it when I wanted it, not putting gas in the car to go get it, and not dealing with the lines, this is the last one in stock, the kids getting on my nerves while I ask questions of an associate that has no clue...*sigh* I just got a headache thinking about it.

Im not mad at all because Even though walmart has low low prices they do this by ruining small towns economies and killing mom and pop stores. So I dont shop there anyway DOWN WITH WALMART!!!!

I'd be mad if T-Mobile pulled an iPhone but if its only 30 dollars than its no big deal because most of us didn't want to wait for it to be available else where/price drop.

not really, the price is going to drop on all technology always, I hope everyone has learned that by now.
I don't like the idea of walmart carrying anything I would ever want or own, but thats going to happen especially since they sell food and are a behemoth in the selling area.
finally this is probably a great move for android in general, more consumers equals more demand, equals more apps for us. Because now we'll over here statements like "i got me that phone with that android thingie and ooohhhh weee it can do all kinez of stuff."

Walmart can do anything they want. I hate Walmart. Any company that takes advantage of people, like the way they do, will never get my money. I will never shop there.

I Love Walmart they stand for everything that America is about: Opportunity!! They way I look at Walmart selling the G1 is with more market saturation there will be more development of Apps and other gadgets for the phone. I got the G1 when I wanted it and paid for it what I wanted to pay so I am happy

i’m mad @ t-mobile not just because their selling out. I had to pay full price $299 for my phone because i just had an up grade 6 months ago. “ok that’s my fault” and i could understand if they did this like a year after they came out but not a month after that’s shady business practices.

im not mad at all its the price you pay for being the first with something...of course as we get closer to the holidays the price will drop but it is what it is...but tell me that 30.00 you think you would of saved would of been spent on something on the gas to walmart then while in walmart you would of seen some ish u dont need and spent another 60.00 lol so im fine with the price i payed

So America is about taking advantage of child labor in other countries and screwing their own employees? I think you better watch http://www.walmartmovie.com/ .

So....are they going to require a contract extension or something? Or is that price only for new contracts? Humor me, please. If not, I really don't think it's fair to sell a phone for twice the price to a loyal customer not even 2 weeks prior.

At this point... It is the American way they all do it.. its not the way id like to see it.. You think for a minute that the oil co's in Iraq don't use kids.. think again. It's what ever makes a buck. I would never work for that type of company.

Think of the 30 dollars as an early adopter fee.
I am always baffled to see how many people are against walmart. I remember watching Penn and Teller's Bull**** a while back, debunking all the negative stereotypes against the chain.
Back to topic, personally, the more G1s in the market, the better. More customers usually equals more motivation for developers.

No. I bought the phone at the full price. I didn't want another 2 year extension on my contract. Although I have never had any major issues with T-Mobile, I may want to switch carriers in the future.

Has anyone actually bought one for $150? Their site shows $179.88.
