I looked through the threads but didn't see anything posted on this. None of my apps that require internet connection are working, including the browser. I'm in Dallas. It anyone else experiencing problems?

Check you connection settings, if everything appears legit, try restarting your phone?

I have had this problem while @ home on my wireless router. Seems my G1 is having problems communicating with my G1, same as my BB Curve.

Yep, I restarted it, turned off the use 2G network only, it's still searching in vain for a connection!

Just got off the phone with a t-mobile CSR because I could connect over wifi but not over edge this morning. Apparently I had 7 free days of my data plan during the launch of the g1, and then it was suppose to switch to my 35$ a month plan at midnight last night. Well it did not switch automatically so they went and changed it over for me. they said it may take up to two hours to provision it. So my advice would be to call and check your data plan.

That's what the problem was. The sad thing is that I called T-Mobile on Monday when I got my phone to activate the data plan and the "free week" promotion overrode it!

Thanks for the info. I should be back in business soon.

No problem, I just hope this is only happening to a few people, or else it's going to be a very busy day for their poor CSR's.......

was on with CC a couple of minutes ago and the guy made switch my sim card with the one that came in the g1 box and that didn't fix the problem. He then told me to...

hit menu on the home screen >settings >wireless controls >mobile network >access point names >T-mobile US (without numbers after it) >Apn it should say epc.tmobile.com, erase that then type it back in and voila... its working so far

I've been having the same problems as well. Random drops of reception and loss of an internet connection whether it be maps, market or browser.

It's been happening to everyone. Supposedly, they're doing something about it.

I am having the EXACT same problem, to the T. No Market, no Browser, and no Maps (that's it for the built-in apps, GMail and GTalk work fine).

I just spent 2 hours escalating this issue to advanced tech support with T-Mobile, and I have a trouble ticket number.

Can everyone who is experiencing this do me a favor? Go to settings->about phone->list me your baseband version numbers and your FULL build number. This will help greatly!!!

Thanks,
Brady
