Okay...lately we've had a few members who now applaud the battery of the G1 (myself included. I've noticed that when the phone is charged to 99% it takes a lot longer to get to 100% than it does to go from 14 (lowest I've had it) to 99% (i may be exaggerating). So maybe that's the issue...not the battery persay...but the meter....I dunno the technical terms and all...but that may be the problem.

Yes, the stuck for a while at 99% is a little wierd. What I've noticed, besides my suddenly better-performing battery, is that if I have it connected but not charged to 100% and I disconnect it, then reconnect it the charger or computer, it usually doesn't read the same percentage charged anymore. The % charged is a little inaccurate. Which is fine by me . . . I figure it's only judging charge level by the current draw of the battery which will change according to temperature.

Also, I don't like that the phone's LED changes to green when the battery is only at 90%. Seems like it should be amber until 100%, right?:)

Bottom line is you buy a G1 because you're hard core, otherwise just get a phone. You need to put it on charge at night and have it work all day - heavy usage. That's 16 hours needed, anything less is not good enough. Maybe this new extended battery will do it.

I dunno, I used the phone for 3 hours of video straight today and that put the battery down to about 28%. I won't complain about that.

I'm actually finding myself not having to charge the phone anymore that much, usually wait to let it die down. I did anything that was possible to conserve battery life when not using certain applications and settings. Battery for me is now holding up a good fight, now lets hope it stays like that!
