Once in a while my SD card doesn't work. The music and video player complain about SD card problems, or say it isn't there. I am using a 4GB transcend model. Taking the card back out and putting it back works...

I am having similar problems. More times than not... my pictures won't display off of my memory card. It shows a triangle with an exclamation point. If I click on the box, the picture will display. Makes it kinda hard to send a picture by text message. I have to use guesswork. I'll take box number 7 for $300. When attempting to play music, I sometimes get the message that there is no memory card inserted. I was having no problems initially. So, i don't think it is my 8gb sandisk.

Okay, I got my phone last week day of launch and what not. I realize the same problem last Friday, I did some trial and error here. FIRST, Is it doing this when you guys/gals connect your phone to your computer? IF so, I hope this works for you two, here it goes:

Anytime your going to connect your G1 to your computer for anything (even if your just connecting your phone to charge.) Please go to Settings > SD card & phone storage > (select) Unmount/eject SD card. Than feel free to connect your G1 to the USB. I hope this may have done the trick for you two, if not I tried.

This worked for me, haven't had any issues with my 2GB San Disk ever since.
