G1 Update

I find it pretty strange that the update for the G1 has been pulled until 2NOV...1 day before the 14 day grace period expires on the G1...hmmmmmm

Your logic doesnt really make sense. My brother bought the phone yesterday and well he has 2 weeks from yesterday to think about it. Also why would they delay an update and not fix the issues right away? The update could be the difference between keeping the phone or not if it addresses some of your complaints.

dont worry @geedup. there will be more updates in future too. i actually think the longer it takes, the more patches (fixes) the update will have...

i live in Cali too and the Customer Service guy at the store told me i have 14 days to return it??

That's when your 14 days is up... Not everyone is going to receive their phones on the same day.

CA has alot of sweet laws that help consumers not get as ripped off.

Has there been a definitive word on whether non t-mobile users(I'm on AT&T) will receive the over the air updates? and if not will they be downloadable?

The phone is advertised as exclusive to T-mobile, so no you will not be able to receive the update. It is Over The Air update, and it is only running via T-Mobile Network. Unless if you still have a T-mobile sim and registered to the network that you are using a G1, the update will be available but no exact ETA when will reach your phone.
