screen protector

Is one needed, and if so, any opinion on what is best for the G1.

I still have the original plastic film on there. I usually do not care but the G1 is way too nice to have scratches.

I question if it would scratch anyway.... and even if it did if it would be noticeable when the phone is on.

Do you all believe a shield is needed though? I mean... if some scrathes pop up (if they do), would you even see them when the Screen in on? I didnt like the comments about the grippy feel, I like flying through the screens.
