SOLD!
If it is the same thing then im saving $19 instead of getting the invisible shield thingy
On the FAQ page on their site i found this:

Q. What's the difference between The Best Skins Ever and the 'Shield' skins that cost $25 dollars (US)?
A. Other than price... it's the SAME THING. ;)

As someone who paid $16 for the IS I can tell you that this thing sucks. There are too many pieces, too many bubbles and they do not align properly. You have to be an artist with hours of tries to make this right. Even the sceen protector didn't completely fit.

Ha ha. Well played.

But I guess it's something similar to this?

However it's not for iPhone.

for those looking for another alternative theres also this

or this
http://www.zagg.com/invisibleshield/t-mobile-g1-cases-screen-protectors-covers-skins-shields.php

all three products seem to provide good protection although the one from best skins ever is the harder of the three to apply based on reviews i read on the iphone skins from the three companies. It appears that the zagg product has less pieces which imo is good but for $6.00 you cant go wrong...can you?

EDIT**
Im also looking for a seperate piece to cover the screen as all three items above will leave a somewhat dimpled look which is cool on the rest of the phone, just not so cool looking on the screen itself. Anyone have any suggestions?

BestSkinEver ships on a regular envelop, just the skin is inside, no instructions, no spray.
That's ok because you can go to their website and see the instructions and use any spray with water and soap to do the installation.
That's why you have a cheap price: you're not paying for a fancy package or a tiny spray bottle.

One thing I would like to see is the cut pattern from all 3 brands. I know that invisibleShield have a better patern than bodyguardz (which I own one).

Best Skin is very good but doesn't cover everything though while Invisible Shield does.

One thing I am surprise is, they don't show what it covers.

But Invisible Shield won't come out until sometime in November so since Best Skins is already out, I may get it.

I found BestSkinsEver several months ago and I have been very happy with their products and service. I have used them on a Treo 700p, Blackberry 8800, Blackberry 8310, iPhone, Nintendo DS Lite and a PSP and had no problems (save for the 700p as I didn't read the online instructions!)

We now purchase these for the blackberries at our office as we rotate thorugh them fairly often (Admins want the newest, so others get their 'hand-me-downs'- and no one likes a scratched up BB).

I ordered a G1 skin on Tuesday and recevied the confirmation yesterday- hopefully I will have it soon and I can post before/after pics on Flickr.

Just got my BSE in the mail. Going to put it on tomorrow. Figure I try something different this time an do it in my bathroom after the hot shower was on for a little bit. This would eliminate dust.

Did you notice the camera lens was not cutout on the skin? Im wondering if it will interfere with picture quality.

Just took a pic. It's fine. If you havent put one on before have fun. LOL If you cant get the edges anywhere to stick just blow dry or heat lamp (if your in your bathroom) the area that is staying down then just re-wet the edge roll it over slow and apply heat. I so have no patience for this type of crap but after a ton of phones i learned a few tricks. Dont forget the soap and water and a flat plastic card to squeegie out the water. Wet in fingers your going to use too so you dont get finger prints.

It's clear all you would see is a shine it comes in NUMEROUS pieces. Its covers the back compleately, screen, sides of screen, the lower part underneath the screen w/ cut outs for the buttons. It pretty much covers everything. There $10 try one if you dont like it peel it off. I was skeptical before I ordered my first one for my BB. Put them on all my devices since. Ipod touch, fiances ipod, all my bb's have had one, and now my G1. Normally I would say dont believe the hype. Well Believe the hype

and they just cover the camera too?
I would really like to see the detailed pictures of all three brands

OP here. Finally installed my Full Body skin tonight. It was pretty easy, but Ive learned new things each time I put one of these on my devices. One of the things I made sure of this time was to let the bowl of water & soap sit for about 10 minutes. This reduces the # of bubbles. Another tip is to try and get as much water off of the skin before you put it on the device. If you have both hands wet at the finger tips, you can actually use your fingers as a squegee. Make sure you clean your finger tips very well before doing this. Last, like the instructions say on BSE site, doing this is a steamy bathroom make the job 10x easier to reduce dust.

Now I just wait 24 hours before powering back up. I will try and take pictures after a couple of days of "setting in".

any pix yet?

Here are some pics. Keep in mind, the camera really captures any lint/dust I have on the screen. Its not very noticeable to the naked eye.

One of the thing I like about the BSE skin compared to the Zagg (Invisible Shield) skin is the screen skin goes to the edges of the phone. The Zagg skin goes just over the screen itself. When running your finger over the edge of the screen, you will feel the screen skin. This does not happen with the BSE skin. Another thing to note, on one of my previous phones, the corners that are on the last pic started to peel up. I spent some time with a blow dryer making sure these corners stayed down and adhered pretty well.

Overall I am very happy with the skin. The screen feels slightly more friction, but its still responsive. I like the fact the rest of the phone has a better grip, and most of all that I dont have to worry about scratching it!

Patience is a virtue. 45 min may seem like a long time, but take your time and it will be worth it. :)

Tips:

- Install in a humid bathroom
- Use a hair dryer to dry small parts and the corners of the back
- Make sure your finger tips are clean and keep them wet!
- Follow the directions on BSE site.

I like bestskinever. I had it for my blackberry once and it was great. now I'm looking at the pictures, maybe I should just get the front protector from bestskinever.
I already have bodyguardz on it since day one. I couldn't wait till the invisible shield to come out, and when I contacted bestskinever they told me it's gonna be about a week after the release and yes they were right but I couldn't wait. I order bodyguardz before I got the phone. and received it on the same day when I got my G1 and installed it that day.

I'm happy about everything but the screen, well more like the front part. cuz it covers the screen and the rest with 2 different piece and between them is where I get the dust all the time every day every hour.
everytime when I check my phone I have to blow air to get that little piece of dust out of there. of course I can live with it but it's little bit annoying.
when I saw bestskinever website, I saw the front piece looked like one whole piece and wanted to see if that's true.

thanks for the picture by the way.

and yes that was true. I wanted that... I think I like bodyguardz back better, and bestskinever front. and the rest, don't really matter too much.

i have a bodyguardz and it took me forever to put it on. i loved the look of it but my stupid ass got some fuzz on the screen while putting it on which i have to redo and the back was alittle screwed up which is why the back of my phone is now broken and no longer has the bodyguard part on it. im not a patient person and i threw the back against the wall like an idiot and it cracked the clear plastic over the camera. my bad. Putting this thing on isnt for all people especially me lol

The orange peel effect isnt bad. The only time I see it is when I look at the phone on an angle and theres reflection from light. Sorta like the first picture.

I have Bodyguardz install on my, but I don't like it because of the front piece, I hate that it is two different pieces for the frame and the screen, because lint get between them. I like the Best Skins Ever design of the front piece, its one single piece, but there is one thing I don't like about the BSE one, it covers the camera hole, but that could be easily fix with a hole puncher.

am I wrong or do you get paid for writing good reviews of Best Skins? Because if that's the case, hell, I'll write one just to get some money. Sounds a little biased.

I could be wrong however. I've not used one, but I've used skins in the past and it's a living nightmare to get them on your device correctly, straight and without bubbles.

I don't get paid, but would gladly be willing to take a payment in exchange for a good review. Having said that, Best Skins does indeed rock the shazbot. I used them on my BB Curve and I just installed it on my G1 a few days ago.

It took me 45 minutes to install. Even if it took twice that, I would gladly do so for a lifetime of protection. The four bubbles that were left over on the back are now down to two, and I suspect the remaining two will be gone shortly (they are certainly shrinking down).

If you are having trouble getting it straight with no bubbles, then you are doing something wrong. As I said earlier, Ive used about 4 BSE skins and each time it gets easier. Just follow the steps and tips I posted and you should have no problems.

Nope, ryannosaurus.rexx is right, and the bestskinsever.com skins are absolutely the best, as I have had an invisible shield sent to me for free since best buy employees receive free zagg products. Best skins has the best customer service, even if you have a bubble on your skin, or its peeling up, they will send you a new skin. to be honest, invisible shield is nice because of the squeegee and "solution" it comes with, but beside that, they have very poor cuts, and are very jagged along the edges. They are harder to apply than BSE as well. Their coverage sucks compared to how well the BSE covers any device. I have installed the BSE on four g1's (lol i convinced my girlfriends famly that they should get this phone) and one iphone 1st gen.

SO no, ryannosaurus.rexx is not bias and is simply stating the truth.

ryannosaurus.rexx dont we always have each others backs lol in every thread

It has been about 4 months since we've had our G1s. I don't know about you guys but I've had BODYGUARDZ on my G1. at first I thought it wasn't too bad although I didn't like the fact that the front covers are 2 pieces so it gets dirty. When I first saw BESTSKINEVER, I liked how they cut better than BODYGUARDZ only for the front part.
but now, I found a huge problem on BODYGUARDZ and INVISIBLESHIELD. Their cuts are slightly different but when you put it on they both have the same uncover spots on the corners. I didn't care about that too much until now.
I have dropped my phone a couple of times and when my phone drops it drops to the back and top because it's heavier there. and unfortunately top corner of the back is where I don't have any protection. now I have a huge scratch there. It's not even a scratch since it's so big.
I'm thinking about buying BESTSKINEVER before it's too much late.
Hope this helps somebody.

My BSE skin has held up pretty well.

Im not sure where you were going with your comment, but none of these skins will protect your phone from falls like that. These are great for scratches but thats about it. If you are prone to dropping your phone, you may want to invest in a case.

but because each brands have different cuts for skins the actual covered area is different. and I think BESTSKINEVER design is the one would cover the most.
